Tom Michalek
Yes, Uke Can Do It! Ukeleles in the Kodály Classroom

The ukulele is a wonderful accessible instrument for teacher accompaniment and/or student use. Ukuleles have strong kid appeal, relate closely to the guitars that many students already own, and provide a way for students to accompany their own singing. This is a hands-on session. Baritone ukuleles will be available for participants to learn the basics of not only how to play, but how to teach the basics in elementary general music class and how to organize their use in the classroom.
