MKMEA Honor Choir

The MKMEA Honor Choir is a special opportunity to participate in a singing ensemble with other developing musicians whose teachers who also use the Kodály approach in their classrooms. The choir runs concurrent with a professional conference for educators and much of the information on this website is also for teacher attendees and their conference sessions.

Use the Conference Menu to learn more about the hotel, travel, host city, and other conference details.  Keep in mind that the conference is for music educators and the honor choir is one special aspect of the conference. Choir-specific information will also be emailed to you from the choir committee.

Digital Application*

• Each Singer with their Parent/Guardian fill out 2022 MKMEA Honor Choir Singer's Form
• Teacher fill out MKMEA 2022 Honor Choir Teacher Form (only fill this form out once)
• Send no money at this time
• Submit by April 29, 2022

Paper Application*

• Each Singer with their Parent/Guardian print and fill out 2022 MKMEA Honor Choir Application Form
• Registration Form
• Teacher print and fill out MKMEA 2022 Honor Choir Teacher Form
• Teacher: If possible, send all forms from one school together
• Send no money at this time
• Postmark by April 25th, 2022 to assure it is received by deadline of April 29, 2022 to:

Scholarship Information

This year we are offering a limited number of full and partial scholarships to cover the participation fee. Teachers are allowed to nominate up to two students who demonstrate a love for music and have financial need.
