Making Music With Joy and Purpose K-4

Attendees will be lead through “Kodály fields” of joy-filled singing games, action songs, literature, and active listening experiences that lead to a fruitful harvest of musical literacy skills and concepts development grades K-4. Participants will explore the “musical harvest” of the “3P’s!”
Jo Kirk, nationally known Kodály and early childhood music educator, holds a Masters in Music Education from the University of Akron, her Kodály Certification from Silver Lake College, and has completed studies at Hartt School of Music and Westminster Choir College. Her teaching experience spans from “little ones” to graduate level Kodály courses. Kirk is founder of WeJoySing, Inc. which provides Music Therapy and early childhood music and movement based learning programs for children and their families. She maintains an active conference and public speaking schedule and has authored Lullabies to Circle Games-An Early Childhood Music and Movement Curriculum.
